JP is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Colorado and is also a Certified Fraud Examiner. From 1988 to 1998, as an auditor for the firms Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PriceWaterhousCoopers) and Ernst & Young, JP was involved in numerous financial audits of public and private companies, large and small, in the United States and in Europe. From 1998 to 2006, he was employed as a controller and a treasurer, working for both larger established public companies and for start-up private ventures. His private industry experience includes preparing public company Forms 10-K and 10-Q, setting up and managing bank accounts, borrowings and banking relationships, preparing income statement and cash forecasts, and measuring financial performance.
JP is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (the AICPA), the Business Valuation/Forensic & Litigation Services (BV/FLS) section of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and of the Professional Private Investigators Association of Colorado.
He graduated from EM Lyon Grande Ecole in Lyon, France in 1987 with a degree in Finance and Accounting and speaks French fluently. In 1987-88, he served in the French armed forces. He immigrated to the United States in 1990 and is a U.S. Citizen.
